Lakshmi Narayan Math is situated at Ramanuja Kot place on the banks of river Assi in Varanasi. All the ghats of river Ganga are at a distance of half a kilometer from the monastery and Varanasi Hindu University is nearby. There is a tradition of Ramanuja sect at the place Ramanuja Kot. There is a tradition of the Ramanuja sect on the banks of the Assi River, where the monastery is situated, that Tulsi Das Ji was saved by Ram Ji from drowning in the Assi River.

It is said that once Goswami Tulsidas was going to Tulsi Ghat from the temple of Sankatmochan Hanuman ji. At the same time, Assi river flooded and Tulsi Das ji became worried. Seeing this situation, Lord Ram and Lakshman ji came to Baba Tulsidas. And both the brothers started protecting them, since then this holy place is known as Ramanuja Kot. There is a temple of Lakshmi Narayan in Ramanujacharya Lakshmi Narayan Math. This temple is a wish fulfilling place.

Lord Lakshmi Narayan gives the fruits of devotion to all the devotees who come. They fulfill all the wishes. Here Lakshmi ji is on the right side of God. It has been established for the purpose of worshiping Lakshmi. Here the Brahmin Batukas are taught the Vedas. The present Kashi Peethadhishwar of this temple is Jagat Guru Swami Gopalacharya Ji Maharaj, disciple Ramanuj Charya Ji. ,

Vedashastra schools run under the Math, where the sons of poor Brahmins study the tradition of keeping Sanatana Dharma alive. There is a college for higher education which has been taken over by the government. There are Math Ashrams in Bihar, Telangana and Prayagraj. A very big cowshed is situated on the banks of Son river in Bihar.
